We live in Texas, and we’ve seen a lot of furniture on sale there. We’ve found three (three!) pieces of furniture that we love. One is a wood-grain Italian sofa from Tuscany that we bought for $450. The Italian sofa is the most expensive piece of furniture we have ever purchased.
Another good example of what is possible with price and style is the oak-plank dining table. This table is available in many different sizes and colors, but I like the black. We bought this one for $8,000, and I have to admit that I haven’t really used it yet. And the only reason it took so long to make was because it was going to be discontinued anyway. Well, except for us. I am a sucker for oak.
We have a couple of pieces of furniture that I’d like to take a closer look at. The most expensive is the oak-plank dining table, which can cost as much as $1,500. The other is the wooden-leather sofa we got for $800. These are not the cheapest of the cheap, but they are the most expensive we have bought.
We are talking about the furniture we bought for our office, which is on the second floor of our home. The office is really quite spacious, so one of the reasons we went for the oak is that the quality of the other furniture we have is not that good. The other thing is that we have a couple of friends who want to get rid of their old furniture. So they will be having their furniture shipped to us.
These will take 10-15 minutes to ship to the customer and then they will all be shipped in the same container. The shipping times can be as quick as that. If we want the same thing, we can put the phone up and have a chat with a real estate agent about it. These are the ones we will use when we live in the place we are going to make our house.
The point is that it’s going to be hard to make a decision about which stuff to get rid of. Like I said, it will be a big decision. We have friends who just don’t have it in the back of their mind to part with their old stuff, and we don’t want to be the one to split the family between two houses. We have the option of buying out their lease so that we can have the same place.
But buying a house is a big decision, and we also have to decide what to do with all our furniture. I don’t know if you’ll be able to tell we’re still in the process of thinking about it at all.
