A few years ago, I was a senior designer at a small studio in Los Angeles and loved it. With a bunch of friends, I’d spend every morning and afternoon reading my life stories from the past two years. I’d read a lot about the “new” and “happier” ways of living and how to stay in control of the world around us.
The songs that became the foundation of the video for “Glamorous,” by the pop duo of the same name, were actually written by Id. Id and his band performed the songs for a little over a year and then, for some reason, they disappeared from the public eye. They never returned to the stage, so I wrote my own lyrics to the songs that became the foundation of the video for “Glamorous.
I think a lot of us are in a bit of a rut. We’ve gotten too used to the same old life, too lost in our own worlds, so we don’t see the world around us. The lyrics in the video for Glamorous are written about a different lifestyle that comes with a whole new set of challenges. One of the challenges is to find yourself.
