The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget were on autopilot. Because when were not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them we control us. Whereas a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, “Hmm…. every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas.
Like most of the other trailers, it’s also full of sneaking, cool powers, lots of guns, and excellent fashion.
As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.
As you can probably tell from the trailer, Colt Vahn is a genius who is trying to get the Visionaries to kill himself (and the other Visionaries). Unfortunately, his self-awareness has been stripped away by the Visionaries who are keeping him alive, and Colt is now just on autopilot, being the guy they call “the guy with no memory.
Another thing that makes Deathloop so intriguing is that it is the first time we’ve seen a game about a musician who has no recollection of why he’s there. It’s almost like a game about a guy who’s been brought back to life by a band.
Even though the game is only a month and a half old, I still think that george gershwin deserves credit for breaking into the music business. I mean, he is a talented composer, but I don’t think anyone can come close to his skill at capturing the emotion of a scene so well. And his use of music to help him remember what he was doing during that scene. Or, at least, that’s how its been done to me.
His music is cool.
I think that it would be very hard to beat gershwin in the way that he used music in his own compositions. He uses music to help people remember the music and to help them connect with the emotions that are going on in the scene. He also uses music in his compositions to convey that the emotion is real. I think that he deserves major props for that aspect of his career.
