If we are talking about something that is a very specific chemical reaction we can’t, for example, talk about “how bad could it get if you had a chemical reaction in your mouth,” but we can say that it might not be a good idea to put a chemical reaction in your mouth.
I think the best way to describe the difference between a chemical reaction and a chemical reaction is that a chemical reaction is an ongoing process, whereas a chemical reaction takes place in a controlled environment and is thus self-contained. For example, if you are trying to make paint, you can’t just mix chemicals together and do a paint job, you have to start with a lot of the raw materials and build up a chemistry-like process to produce what you need.
