After a decade spent working with the local government and the public sector, I decided that I wanted to focus on helping others and have a career in technology. The business opportunity I saw while in graduate school led me to pursue my career with a technology company.
I started as a web developer for a local start-up company and then spent several years with an academic researcher who published papers on how to make software better. At that point I switched on and started working with a local CIO who I knew would be able to help me out as I tried to make the company more efficient. As I learned more, I was able to help him improve his technology and help him build a team that would be able to take the company to the next level.
My job as a CTO is to help business leaders maximize their technology and help them drive their organizations to the next level. I think this is an area where we can benefit all of us as tech leaders and I think it would be a valuable course to teach people working in other areas of the business.
There are a number of ways to help a business become more efficient. In this case, I would recommend a series of “what if” scenarios (what if your company did this?) on how you can make your company a more efficient and effective organization.
I’ve had a few conversations about a couple of these scenarios during this interview. I’m glad you got to hear that. My recommendation is that you get a copy of the interview and read it, then go to your website and click on the link to your website. Then you can take a look at your website or an article and read it.

It’s important to think about how your website will be used. You want to make sure it is intuitive and easy for readers to use, but you also want it to be user-friendly. For that, you need a good design so readers can find content easily.
The design of your website depends on the type of content you are creating but it will also depend on the type of audience you are creating it for. There are many people who aren’t as tech-savvy as you are and that’s fine. You do not have to be a programmer to know that you can do things better than the next guy.
